Thyroid

Thyroid cancer occurs in the gland tissue found at the front of the mouth, below the cartilage known as the Adam's apple. Thyroid cancer, a relatively rare condition, accounts for about 3 percent of all new cancer cases. It is three times more common in women than men and most cases in adults younger than 55 are diagnosed. The most prevalent symptom is a lump, nodule or irregular neck swelling. Our cancer specialists are trained and experienced in all the stages and forms of thyroid cancer being diagnosed, staged and treated. You may be subjected to diagnostic procedures such as biopsy, MRI, X-ray, and laboratory testing, then we will use that information to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to you and your preferences. Each treatment plan for each patient also includes a variety of supporting care services, such as pain management and occupational therapy, to help manage the side effects of the disease and its treatment, and to support quality of life.
