Neuroendocrine

Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) develop in cells which interfere with the nervous system or in hormone-producing glands. Such cells, called neuroendocrine cells, can be found throughout the body, but NETs, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract, are most commonly found in the abdomen. In the liver, pancreas, and adrenal glands, these tumors can also be found. Often considered a neuroendocrine cancer is Merkel cell cancer, a type of skin cancer. NETs are rare, complicated and could be hard to diagnose. That's why it's critical that a dedicated team with experience and cancer treatment training get expert care. Your individualized plan will include evidence-based treatments and neuroendocrine cancer fighting technologies, combined with supporting care services to help reduce side effects and keep you strong in body, mind and spirit.
